Up until Sunday's Solheim Cup singles matches, Swede Anna Nordqvist, the player, was not helping Nordqvist, the European assistant captain. In three foursomes and fourballs matches, Nordqvist was a combined 0-3-0. On Sunday, though, against major champion Jennifer Kupcho, Nordqvist, 36, found her mojo and pulled off a 2-and-1 victory in the day's fourth match that helped Europe, the reigning cup holder, retain the cup with a 14-14 draw. Nordqvist, playing in her eighth Solheim Cup, improved to 3-2-3 in singles and is now tied for fifth in overall matches for Europe with 31.
