U.S. Presidents Cup Captain Jim Furyk could not have asked for a better start than the Yanks' 5-0 sweep in Thursday's Four-ball format. The start marked the fifth time the Americans got off to a 5-0 start, the last being 17 years ago also at Royal Montreal Golf Club. As odd as it may sound, the United States had to be encouraged by the play of Scottie Scheffler, who partnered with Russell Henley to earn his first Presidents Cup point. The Americans now need to earn 10.5 of the next 25 points in order to win the President Cup for the 13th time in 15 matches.
