For the PGA Tour rookies in the Sanderson Farms Championship field this week, there is a little extra incentive. The Arnold Palmer Award (PGA Tour Rookie of the Year) will be voted on after the FedEx Cup Fall series. Eric Cole is the only rookie who advanced to the BMW Championship, while five others qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs — Thomas Detry, Taylor Montgomery, Sam Stevens, Vincent Norrman, Ben Griffin). Cole is one of 23 rookies in the field, which includes Special Temporary Members Ryan Gerard and Peter Kuest.
