PGA Teaching Pro Kevin Corn joins host Colin Weston to discuss the impactful program he spearheads at the Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital outside of St. Louis
Kevin Corn wants every child to experience the game of golf — even those who are going through the hardest of times. And that is why he created a golf program that he conducts on Wednesdays at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
"All the children at Ranken Jordan are medically complex," says Corn, a PGA Teaching Professional. "We have kids in hospital beds and wheelchairs and walkers. They are on ventilators, they've got feeding tubes and, regardless of what they're facing, they hit golf balls. It's a very powerful afternoon and no better way to spend a day than helping them get better through golf."
Corn joins "The ModGolf Podcast" host Colin Weston to talk about the program, which is part of hospital's Care Beyond the Bedside initiative that has youth patients spending about 70 percent of their waking hours outside their rooms.
