For much of the Southeast, September was a month well worth forgetting from a weather standpoint. Hurricane Helene did quite a number as far up the east coast as the mountains of North Carolina. Statistically, according to the National Golf Foundation, rounds played were down 8% in the South Atlantic region and down 2% in the South Central. Despite the hit, rounds played nationally are trending 2% ahead of last year's record pace.
