Liv Golf Investments begins to fill in C-suite roster

Newly created entity names Sean Bratches as chief commercial officer and Ron Cross as chief events officer a week after Greg Norman is named CEO

Greg Norman has been named chief executive officer of Liv Golf Investments.

Newly announced Liv Golf Investments, which last week named Greg Norman as its CEO, on Friday appointed Sean Bratches as chief commercial officer and Ron Cross as chief events officer. 

"We believe the game of golf is poised to grow on a global scale and we are ready to make the necessary strategic investments to support its growth,” Norman said. “The addition of Sean and Ron to our leadership team delivers an unmatched level of experience and expertise that will allow us to make an immediate impact. I’m excited to get to work and look forward to the months ahead.”

Along with the naming of Norman as CEO, it was announced that Liv Golf Investments would back a 10-event series on the Asian Tour beginning in 2022.

Bratches spent nearly 30 years with ESPN, rising to executive vice president of sales and marketing and serving on the ESPN board of directors. Upon Liberty Media’s acquisition of Formula 1, he moved to London for three years serving as managing director of commercial operations where he helped transform Formula 1 into a more global presence.

Cross has spent the last 30 years in various leadership roles at the PGA Tour and Augusta National Golf Club. He spent two decades at the PGA Tour running premier events, including the Presidents Cup, Tour Championship and World Golf Championships before moving to Augusta National Golf Club for eight years. At Augusta National, Cross was integral in helping develop the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, the Latin America Amateur Championship, and the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship.
