Junior golfers worldwide learn what it takes to play college golf

The Golf Performance Center's 5 Elements of Success Player Development Series' live debut set for May 5

RIDGEFIELD, Conn., April 29, 2020 – The Golf Performance Center (GPC), the Northeast’s premier golf academy, today announced a new video series for junior golfers aiming to play college golf. The first episode of The Five Elements of Success Player Development Series presented by Junior Golf Hub, featuring GPC Founder and PGA Professional, Roger Knick, will be offered live from the GPC via YouTube at 12 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, May 5.

Golf Performance Center

This new weekly series delivers the expertise of GPC coaches directly to junior golfers worldwide every Tuesday. In addition to Knick, who also runs the Junior Golf Hub and Ethan Allen Prep, the initial episode will feature Tyler Campbell, GPC’s Director of Performance.

“We’re excited to share our system for developing junior golfers and to give them the best chance to not only succeed on the golf course, but to be extremely well prepared for life,” said Knick. “We’ve worked hard to create The Five Elements of Success principles and we look forward to sharing it with passionate and enthusiastic young golfers. This proven approach has already catapulted 100 GPC athletes to compete at more than 80 different colleges and universities.”

Unlike typical teaching series that focuses solely on swing technique and physical development, this series dives deep into how the five elements work together, holistically, and guide young golfers toward reaching their goals on and off the course. Young players will not only become better athletes, but the GPC’s coaches will help them develop the fundamental principles that will enhance all areas of their life.

The five elements include:
1. Desire: Discover how your desire to improve and learn directly impacts your development.

2. Coaching: Assess whether you have the best coaches and how coachable you are.

3. Physical Performance and Nutrition: As demonstrated at GPC, “Function dictates Form”

4. Mental Approach: Do you have a growth mindset and the grit to persevere?

5. Equipment: Learn if you have the right tools to get the job done.
