PGTAA announces association with former touring pros

Australian Scott Gardiner and South African Brenden Pappas will represent the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America at their home club, Paradise Valley Athletic Club in Fayetteville, Ark.

Professional Golf Teachers Association of America (PGTAA) is excited to announce the association with former PGA Tour players and PGTAA graduates, Scott Gardiner and Brenden Pappas as staff members of the PGTAA.

Paradise Valley Athletic Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the home base for both Scott and Brenden, will also serve as one of the PGTAA’s Onsite schools in the future.

Scott Gardiner is an Australian professional golfer. Gardiner has played on the PGA Tour of Australasia and its developmental tour, the Von Nida Tour, where he won once. He played on the European Tour from 2001 to 2003. He played on the Nationwide Tour from 2003 to 2012, where he won the 2010 Chattanooga Classic.

Brenden Pappas is originally from South Africa. Pappas turned professional in 1993 and played on the South African Tour until 2000, when he joined the Nationwide Tour. In his 2000 rookie year, he made 5 of 12 cuts and a little over $17,000. His 2001 season included over $188,000 in earnings and 6 top-10s, which included two runner-up finishes. 2002 was Pappas' rookie year on the PGA Tour.

In 2006, Pappas picked up his first win in the United States with a win at the Rex Hospital Open in June 2006.

Since inception in 1997, the PGTAA has grown worldwide, and continues to be a premier golf teacher certification institution. The PGTAA’s renowned curriculum prepares all students to become outstanding teachers in country clubs, universities, private practice, high schools, and golf academies. Also, graduates hold positions in the retail world and with golf manufacturers.
