Giants Ridge kicks off summer golf season with 37-hole special

Minnesota’s greatest value in golf includes play on The Quarry and The Legend, lunch

(BIWABIK, Minn.) – Giants Ridge – Minnesota’s leading golf resort, set in the rugged beauty of the Mesabi Iron Range, announces a special to celebrate the start of the summer golf season that includes play on the resort’s championship layouts and lunch.

A convenient three-hour drive along I-35 from the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area, Giants Ridge boasts two of the highest-ranked layouts in Minnesota, The Quarry and The Legend. The aptly named Quarry is built on the site of a former sand quarry and iron ore mine, and dramatically raised tees and hazards provide dramatic Iron Range vistas. Carved out of the Superior National Forest, The Legend is a true “northwoods” course featuring towering pines, giant fairways and majestic views of Wynne and Sabin Lakes.

Dubbed “Minnesota’s Greatest Value in Golf,” the 37-Hole Special includes golf on both The Quarry and The Legend with lunch for $145 Monday – Thursday and $160 Friday – Sunday. Both rounds of golf and lunch must be redeemed on the same day, and other restrictions may apply. Lunch options are available at either Bunkers or the Wacootah Grille. To book tee times, call 218.865.8030.

More information about the 37-Hole Special and other special offers at Giants Ridge can be found on the resort’s website under the accommodations tab.

“We are thrilled to kick off this the summer golf season with a full day of golf promotion at an exceptional rate,” says John Kendall, Director of Golf. “The 37-Hole Special allows golfers to enjoy two of the state’s top public golf courses in a safe environment.”

Both golf courses at Giants Ridge opened earlier this month and follow social distancing guidelines set by the resort that include:

· Tee times reservations are required and available online or via phone with no walk-ons

· All payments will be completed over the phone prior to the tee time

· Only one rider per golf cart unless riding with someone from same household

· Flagsticks must always remain in the hole

· The removal of all bunker rakes

A full list of Giants Ridge’s golf social distancing guidelines can be found on resort’s golf page.
