Clinical psychologist explains the mental side of golf on The Golf Performance Center’s live YouTube show

Dr. Josh Brant helps junior golfers improve their game through self-regulation

(RIDGEFIELD, Conn.)The Golf Performance Center (GPC) – a world leader in junior golf innovations, integrating player development, premium technology and facilities with industry thought leaders – will be joined by Dr. Josh Brant, a licensed clinical psychologist and leader of the GPC’s sports psychology program, on its next episode of the “5 Elements of Success Player Development Series” on Tuesday, July 28 at 12 p.m. EDT. The live, interactive YouTube show will explore how juniors can improve their game through visualization, mental preparation and on-course self-regulation. Registration can be found here.

Dr. Brant will join hosts Roger Knick, Founder of the GPC, Junior Golf Hub (JGH) and Ethan Allen Prep (EAP), Tyler Campbell, Director of Performance at the GPC, Dennis Hillman, the GPC’s Director of Coaching to discuss how a greater importance should be placed on the development of a golfer’s thought process before, during and after the round.

“Mental skills are vastly looked at incorrectly when it comes to the development of a golfer,” says Roger Knick. “As a core tenet of our ‘5 Elements of Success’ philosophy, we excel in incorporating better ways to approach a golfer’s growth mindset and Tuesday’s show is your chance to learn how we do it.”
