Golf industry veteran and teaching professional Ryan Burke growing V1 Sports’ sales team

Novi, MI – As V1 Sports (V1) continues to expand its industry-leading video analysis, technological and game improvement offerings to golf instructors and consumers, the Michigan-based tech company proudly announces the hiring of golf industry veteran and PGA teaching professional Ryan Burke as Regional Sales Manager to help scale the brand’s market reach and growth.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based Burke worked as a director of golf, merchandiser, head professional and teaching pro for more than a decade at prominent properties like The Idaho Club, TPC Scottsdale, We Ko Pa Golf Club and Brentwood Country Club in Los Angeles, Calif. before specializing on golf industry roles that effectively bridge the gap between golf professionals and technology. With a wide-ranging depth of experience with companies like Blast Motion, K-Vest, Miura Golf and MySwing Golf, Burke joins V1 with enthusiasm and insight on the technologies that advance game improvement and make instructors more efficient.

Ryan Burke

“Ryan Burke is an extremely welcome addition to V1 Sports. He’s an ideal fit for our solutions-based culture and brings an outstanding depth of experience in golf-specific technology,” says V1 Sports CEO Bryan Finnerty. “It’s going to be very natural for Ryan to work with his fellow golf professionals and help them optimize their businesses with the appropriate technology solutions. Ryan understands golf technology and biomechanics inside and out, so he’s going to be a valuable and trusted source in the field.”

Burke’s territory includes Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, where he already has many professional relationships, having worked as a club and teaching professional in that part of the country at various points in his career. A northern Idaho native and graduate of the University of Idaho’s Professional Golf Management program, Burke has also earned numerous certifications including multiple Titleist Performance Institute levels, as well as accreditation from Forces and Motions and Biomechanics seminars, and dozens of PGA of America Teaching and Coaching Summits.

“V1’s video analysis and other emerging technology is the gold standard in golf and their capability to deliver practical solutions that actually help golfers and create revenue growth opportunities for golfers is very exciting,” Burke says. “I have an understanding of what teaching professionals really use versus what just gathers dust in the corner of the teaching studio and, on the technology and development side, I can speak in clear and helpful terms about the many tools that will not only set a pro’s teaching apart, but also elevate the experience for the students.”

In addition to the newest 11th-generation software release of V1 Sports’ leading video capture and swing analysis system, called V1 Pro Studio, Burke will have plenty of new teaching enhancements to share with golf instructors. For example, V1 Sports recently became the technology developer and global sales and marketing force for the V1 Pressure Mat (Powered by BodiTrak), the first portable and affordable mat to record balance distribution information and Center of Pressure (COP) during the golf swing. Combining real-time data on a golfer’s weight transfer with V1’s top-in-class camera systems and video software makes each lesson more impactful and can markedly expedite a player’s improvement.

One of the golf industry’s most trusted developers of game-improvement technology, V1 Sports also recently entered the GPS game-tracking mobile app arena with the dynamic V1 Game app. With the V1 Game app, a mobile phone or Apple Watch becomes a golfer’s personal caddie and shot tracker. V1 Game’s powerful GPS data provides accurate yardages to greens, hazards and landing zones to help you navigate the course like a professional. After a round is completed, V1 Game’s intuitive performance analysis technology provides statistics (including robust Strokes Gained data) that show the user’s strengths, weaknesses and paths to improvement.
