Golf Surprize taps Duane Sinkule as southeast regional manager

Revenue-generating tool for operators, engaging game for golfers debuts at 2021 PGA Merchandise Show

(PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.) – Golf Surprize – a turnkey, revenue-generating tool for golf course owners and operators, and entertaining and engaging game for golfers – has hired Duane Sinkule as its Southeast Regional Manager.

Sinkule, a Class A PGA Professional, comes to Golf Surprize from Monterey Club, where he was one of the golf and lifestyle apparel brand’s leading sales representatives. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at storied Mountain Brook Club in Birmingham, Ala., where he was involved in every aspect of golf operations and member engagement.

“Duane has a deep love of golf and is committed to growing the game from both the owner-operator and player perspectives,” says Bruce Lucker, Chief Executive Officer, Signature Group and Managing Partner, Golf Surprize North America. “He has the passion, understanding and network to help us successfully launch Golf Surprize in the U.S.”

Golf Surprize was developed in Australia in 2017 by marketing entrepreneur Anthony Robinson, who believed every golfer, regardless of skill level, should have an opportunity to “win” on the golf course. More than 400 courses throughout Australia and South Africa have implemented the system, which awards golfers up to $500 in golf shop credit based on their scores and experiences.

“Owners and operators need more tools at their disposal in order to sell rounds, collect player data and create a memorable experience that keeps golfers coming back, and Golf Surprize does just that,” Sinkule says. “So much work goes into running and maintaining a golf course, courses need an alternative to discounting rates during slow periods. With Golf Surprize, they have the ability to not only maintain rate integrity but to realize incremental revenue as well.”

Golf Surprize will debut at the 2021 PGA Merchandise Show Virtual Show and Marketplace this week, Jan. 26-29. Robinson and Sinkule will conduct daily demonstrations of the Golf Surprize system, including introductory overviews and more detailed implementation walk-throughs. Registered attendees can log-on at https://virtual.pgashow.com/exhibitor/golf-surprize starting Tuesday, Jan. 26.

About Golf Surprize
Golf Surprize is a revenue-generating, database-building and immediate-feedback tool for golf events and golf course operators that gives golfers a chance to instantly win credits to spend at the golf shop or clubhouse based on any shot they play even the ones they didn’t mean to hit.

Golf course operators are dedicated to creating unique customer experiences, and Golf Surprize believes a full-priced green fee should be more valuable to a golfer than a lower-priced green fee. Golf Surprize rewards and grows golf participation with its customer-focused instant rewards platform. Golfers simply enter their mobile number to win credit based on their scores and experiences, resulting in an average spend of 2.6 times the reward amount.

Golf Surprize is creating a wave of innovation for the industry and already has products patented in the U.S. and other countries with more than 400 clubs using Golf Surprize products in Australia and South Africa. Golf Surprize has been an official licensee of the PGA of Australia and is the Official Instant Rewards Partner of the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) in the U.S.
