Replaceable spikes from PrideSports® used by winners of the Genesis Invitational and LECOM Suncoast Classic

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., February 23, 2021 – The MacNeill Pride Group confirms the winners of the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational and Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic relied on replaceable cleat solutions from Softspikes®.

Capturing his second PGA TOUR title, the 30-year-old Genesis Invitational champion secured a dramatic playoff victory at famed Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.  He trusted Pulsar cleats from Softspikes® in his FootJoy Premier shoes, a popular spike model known for delivering maximum comfort and performance. Beyond the winner, 19 of the top-25 finishers chose replaceable spikes in their respective footwear.

On the Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic, held at Lakewood National Golf Club in Florida, the winner relied on the Silver Tornado® from Softspikes® in his FootJoy DryJoy shoes. This multi-material cleat utilizes a counter-rotational design to provide superior balance and stability.

“Virtually every week we see that winners from major tours worldwide trust replaceable spikes to ensure they have the traction needed to play their best,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports/MacNeill-Pride Group.

Replacement Softspikes® and CHAMP® cleats can be purchased in the golf section of most large retailers, sporting goods stores, golf specialty and golf course pro shops across the country. Cleats can also be purchased online from any of these locations, your favorite online store or directly from

PrideSports is the undisputed leader in the golf cleat segment with its CHAMP® and Softspikes® brands. The company recommends golfers change their cleats every six to eight months – or even more frequently based on use – to ensure golfers get the maximum performance out of their footwear.
