Golftec coaches compete in the 2021 PGA Professional Championship

(Denver, CO) GOLFTEC, the world leader in golf improvement and club fitting, is proud to announce three of their Certified Personal Coaches, qualified for the 2021 PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The Coaches, David Hronek from GOLFTEC Sarasota, Ryan Hritz from GOLFTEC Maitland and Gilbert Mendez, Center Manager and Director of Club Fitting for GOLFTEC North Austin, entered the 312-player field (representative of all 41 PGA Sections and 44 states) on April 25th, 2021.

All three Coaches made it into the second round, where Mendez broke out and tied for 72nd place with 3 over par and qualifying for the third round.

Mendez, originally from Corpus Christi, TX, has taught 13,500 lessons, and given 500 club fittings. Hritz, originally from Apopka, FL, has won many North Florida PGA Chapter events and has played in 3 National PGA Professional Championships, taught nearly 5,000 lessons and given 200 club fittings since joining GOLFTEC Maitland. Hronek, originally from Cincinnati, OH, has over 20 years of experience as a teaching professional, and has played in 10 PGA National Club Pro Championships, several web.com tour events, the 2014 and 2021 PGA Championships, and the 2016 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
