Record interest in golf led to massive growth in 2020 and need for expanded staff

Both will play a key role in certifying that Rain or Shine Golf meets the growing demand for the company’s products and services, as the brand experienced a year-over-year revenue increase of 123% in 2020. Among the factors associated with this growth was general interest in golf being on the rise nationwide. The National Golf Foundation reported the U.S. golf market saw an increase of 60 million rounds over 2019. Mirroring this surge, golf equipment retail sales topped $1 billion in total for the months of July, August and September, an all-time Q3 record since Golf Datatech started its tracking in 1997.
As Product Manager, Sweitzer will be focused on planning and executing the full product lifecycle of Rain or Shine Golf’s in-house products and will work across all departments to drive customer satisfaction. Sweitzer comes to the organization with a strong pedigree in product management, having worked in various sectors over the past decade. Responsibilities in his new role include conducting market research and analysis, planning product positioning strategy and development, as well as ensuring execution of product launch and post-launch performance.
On the digital marketing front, Jones will help develop, implement and manage campaigns to further promote the brand’s unique products and services. A marketing veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Jones worked in multiple industries before coming to golf with Rain or Shine. In her new position, she will be responsible for planning and executing all digital campaign elements and helping maintain the brand’s social media presence.
