Rio Verde Country Club welcomes new director of golf

Rio Verde, Ariz. (May 27, 2021) – Rio Verde Country Club recently welcomed Josh Brown as the club’s new Director of Golf. Brown will oversee all golf operations for the 36-hole private club located in Rio Verde, Ariz., just east of Scottsdale and managed by Troon Privé.

Brown has 16 years of golf industry experience, having most recently served as the Head Golf Professional at La Cantera Resort and Spa, a 36-hole Troon Golf-managed facility in San Antonio, Texas. During his career, Brown has worked his way from guest service attendant, assistant golf professional, golf sales manager, first assistant golf professional, head golf professional, to his current position of director of golf. He has worked at golf facilities throughout the United States, with stops in Tucson, Ariz., Atlanta, Ga., Chandler, Ariz., Brewster, Mass., and San Antonio.

A Class-A member of the PGA of America, Brown is a graduate of a Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. 

“I’m excited to be back home in Arizona and working with and amazing team here at Rio Verde Country Club,” said Brown. “Our goal is to elevate the experience for our members and their guests and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that.”
