Duca del Cosma appoints new general manager in North America

Appointment reflects the brand’s ambitious growth plans in golf’s largest market

Leading golf fashion brand Duca del Cosma has confirmed the arrival of its new General Manager for the fast-expanding North American market, Evelien Lauwers, who had to wait almost a year to take up her post in the USA due to travel restrictions. 

Evelien, who joined the Amsterdam-based company in 2018 to handle Global Marketing & E-Commerce, will manage growth of the premium golf shoe operation across the USA and Canada from its dedicated showroom and offices in North Palm Beach, Florida.

“I am really looking forward to managing the Duca del Cosma operation here in the world’s   largest golf market following our positive entry last year,” said Evelien. “My goal is to maximise the potential of the Duca del Cosma brand, both in terms of generating sales through our green grass retail partners, as well as our increasingly popular website.

“The Ladies collection is proving to be a big hit with US golfers, particularly the stunning BELLEZZA and ESTI models, which were recognised recently by Golf Digest in its ‘Best Women’s Golf Shoes of 2021’ list. For both men and women, we have an amazing selection of fashionable, functional and extremely comfortable shoes that sets us apart from conventional brands in today’s modern golf shoe market,” she added.

Lauwers began her career in TV Production before moving to the E-Commerce sector more than five years ago. On joining Duca del Cosma, she developed the International Marketing and E-Commerce strategies and helped to drive the online business for handcrafted shoes.
