In MyGolfSpy 2021 test

Second year running the remote-control model has won the coveted award

The Motocaddy M7 REMOTE electric caddy has been voted the ‘Most Wanted Electric Cart’ for the second year running in a recent test by MyGolfSpy, the popular US based website with more than 63 million worldwide readers.

Finishing first in manoeuvrability and ease-of-use, the independent and unbiased website said of the M7; ‘If you want the best electric cart, go for the Motocaddy M7 REMOTE. It comes with a remote, providing you the caddie effect. Its slim sleek design doesn’t take up much room for storage and fits neatly in your trunk. It comes with a kickback wheel ensuring the cart never topples over on steep uphill lies. Throw in USB charging port along with a two-year warranty and you have the winner of the 2021 Most Wanted Electric Cart Test.’

The rigorous examination considered trolley features, manoeuvrability, fold size and ease of use across 14 of the latest electric trolleys on the market during more than 20 hours of on-course research. The resulting guide also covered battery life, stability and weight.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have won this award for the second year-in-a-row and it’s a testament to the R&D and innovation that goes into all of our walking carts,” said Motocaddy U.S. President Roger Teat from the brand’s California base. “The MyGolfSpy testing is hugely respected within the golf industry and hours of testing and analysis goes into producing these results. With the high rankings the M7 REMOTE received across all categories, coupled with its proven reliability, it’s no wonder it topped the charts for the second year running as it really is the ‘ultimate caddy’ for walking golfers.

“This is such an exciting time for Motocaddy in the U.S. as we have a fully stocked warehouse ready to ship carts and bags across the country from our Carlsbad, CA base, the National Service Center has been established in Chicago, IL, plus we have a 12-man sales team with more than a century of golf industry experience to cover territories that are popular with walking golfers. These awards only increase our belief that the health and performance benefits of an electric walking cart are unparalleled,” he added.

The stress free M7 REMOTE features an ergonomic handset that is fully rechargeable even while playing. Operating over a significant distance, the remote-control handset enables the golfer to move the cart in all four directions or switch smoothly from remote to manual mode and back again if needed.

Powered by a next generation 28.8V motor system and capable of handling the tightest of turns with ease, the highly responsive cart features the latest remote technological advancements, while an anti-glare LCD screen provides multiple speed settings, plus a separate handset battery indicator. In addition to the automatic Downhill Control function that maintains a constant speed when going down slopes, an extra back wheel prevents it from tipping over, while all-terrain, anti-skid rear wheels ensure maximum stability.

Also included in the comprehensive test was the world’s most intelligent touchscreen enabled electric caddy – the M5 GPS DHC, which incorporates a fully integrated GPS system through its super-responsive touchscreen display. The ‘Smart Cart’ provides golfers with fast and accurate access to golf course mapping across the world, plus smartphone notifications direct to the screen.

More than 40,000 golf courses are preloaded onto the system with front, middle and back distances displayed, along with a dynamic green view, plus the ability to move flag positions on the screen and check for any hazards on the hole. Clock, Round timer and Score tracking are also available, alongside hole information, shot distance measurement, automatic hole advancement and a battery meter.

Another Motocaddy cart included was the M1 DHC with Downhill Control, featuring an electronic parking brake and all-terrain wheels – making it the ideal trolley for those golfers who play hilly courses on a more regular basis.
