Indian Wells Golf Resort welcomes new general manager

Indian Wells, Calif. (June 3, 2021) – Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, Calif. is proud to welcome Sven Wiedenhaupt as the club’s new General Manager. Wiedenhaupt will oversee all elements of Indian Wells Golf Resort, including the facility’s two 18-hole golf courses, The VUE Restaurant, multiple event and F&B venues, guest service, as well as associate training and development.

Wiedenhaupt is a highly experienced and passionate hospitality industry veteran having led the operations at a number of international five star hotels and resorts. He most recently served as the general manager at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel, a 404-room, 18-villa luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prior to Zabeel Saray, Wiedenhaupt was the general manager at Jumeirah Beach Hotel & Wild Wadi Waterpark, a five-star, 600-room resort in Dubai, where he led 2,000 associates representing 52 different nationalities.

Wiedenhaupt’s experience domestically and internationally has shaped his thoughtful leadership approach and commitment to embracing diversity, equity and hospitality for all. He has an exceptional track record with the development and building of teams, employee engagement, financial performance, sales, revenue strategies, F&B enhancements and change management.

Originally from Germany, Wiedenhaupt is familiar with the Coachella Valley having served as director of operations at nearby Miramonte Resort from 2000 through 2001. He resides in La Quinta.
