Gaby Lopez joins True Spec Tour team

The two-time LPGA tournament winner is the latest to represent True Spec’s brand-agnostic equipment model on Tour

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (July 6, 2021)  —True Spec Golf is proud to welcome Gaby Lopez as the newest member of the True Spec Tour Team.

As a True Spec Tour Ambassador, the two-time LPGA tournament winner will collaborate with the global leader in custom club fitting and club building for a uniquely data-driven approach to equipment management.  In lieu of traditional equipment endorsements, each Tour Ambassador can mix and match clubs -- from drivers to irons, utility clubs and putters -- to maximize performance in every aspect of their game. This bespoke approach to building out their bag is driven strictly by True Spec’s data and the player’s personal preferences.

“I’ve always been a fierce advocate for staying brand-agnostic,” Lopez said. “Joining the True Spec Tour Team gives me the freedom to choose the best clubs for my game without worrying about which manufacturer I’m choosing. There’s nothing like True Spec’s data-driven model, and I’m excited to have True Spec in my corner.”

True Spec Tour Ambassadors go through the same proprietary fitting process every True Spec customer enjoys. True Spec Master Fitters use state-of-the-art swing assessment technology and a signature club matrix featuring more than 35,000 possible club head and shaft combinations -- including every leading brand -- to identify the best clubs to optimize their performance. As part of the partnership, Master Builders assemble each Tour Ambassador's equipment at the 25,000 sq. ft. True Spec build shop in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“Gaby is among the best players on the LPGA Tour, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the True Spec Tour Team,” said True Spec CEO Hoyt McGarity. “As more players seek out brand-agnostic optionality, our growing roster of PGA and LPGA players see True Spec's ‘no bias, just results’ model as a strategic competitive advantage.”
