Ahead’s Spring 2022 headwear sets trends, revives classics

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (July 8, 2021) –- Tie dye, camo and floral caps headline ahead’s exciting new Spring 2022 headwear offerings as the company responds to the influx of diverse new golfers entering the game who are bringing a new sense of style to the course.

Several highlights of the new line include:

The Ashbury (M47CTD): Tie-dye’s popularity continues and this cotton twill, unstructured tie-dye hat debuts in three color palettes (blue/orange, pink/purple, and blue/purple/lime patterns) This style appeals to men and women alike and features an adjustable slide closure with snap buckle.

The Dunkirk (M20CAM): Camo continues to be a retail best seller, in a variety of color combinations.  In the Spring 2022 headwear line, ahead interprets this trend via a tonal camouflage in a performance style available in white, green, and new navy.

The Marley (M18TPL): These tonal floral caps have a distinct resort feel and incorporate ahead’s best-selling “sphere” performance fabrication.

With a vibrant mix of colors on the front panel, the Serape cap took off when it debuted earlier this year and will be available in two additional exciting color combinations for Spring ’22.

The Curacao and Coastal Bay, which come in a multitude of colors and prints are also new to the modern trend category of ahead headwear. The Coastal Bay has a flat brim; structured, 6-panel crown, and mesh back, with snap closure. The Curacao has a sublimated “blend” printed front and mesh back, with snap closure and a moisture-wicking poly sweatband for added comfort and absorbency.

While ahead has adopted new design trends and inspirations, ahead also debuts an exciting new collection of pigment dye headwear for Spring ’22.  This category, historically strong in resort markets, is becoming increasingly popular in golf shops as well.

A pigment-dye cap that has been a big seller over the years for ahead returns with a few key updates to further enhance its appeal and improve the fit. The Carmel solid and Solana mesh back both feature pre-curved visors and are available in a full color palette that allows for regional – and seasonal – merchandising.

The Samuel solid cap, another top seller for ahead is refreshed for Spring 2022 with four new soft colors, consisting of fern, haze, orangesicle, and salmon.

The exciting new headwear additions for Spring 2022 continue to reinforce ahead’s aesthetic leadership in the golf headwear category.  Unparalleled attention is paid to every detail including fabrication, fit, industry-leading alternative graphics, and innovative ornamentation techniques.
