San Jose, Calif. (July 15, 2021) – Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, Calif. will host the first ever Innovation Cup golf tournament on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Silicon Valley and Bay Area technology companies are invited to compete against partners and rivals to determine the best tech golfers in the region. The winning team will take home a spectacular trophy as well as all-important bragging rights.
24 four-person teams will compete in a shamble format with each company able to field one foursome – a second foursome may also be included, pending sign-ups. Each foursome may have (at most) one member of Silver Creek Valley Country Club, but it is not mandatory. The event will begin with a boxed lunch at noon, golf at 1 p.m., with dinner and an awards ceremony on the clubhouse patio concluding the day. The event is free to play in, with spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
