Ecco Golf ambassador Erik van Rooyen wins first PGA Tour title

(LONDONDERRY, NH) – ECCO – a leading manufacturer of innovative footwear – announces that Ambassador Erik van Rooyen captured his first PGA TOUR title at The Barracuda Championship on Sunday.

Playing a modified stableford format, the South African, wearing the company’s latest innovation ECCO BIOM® H4, scored an outstanding 16 points in his final round to finish five shots ahead of the chasing pack. With this win, van Rooyen jumps 61 places in the FedEx Cup standings, to 78th and secures a spot in next season’s PGA Championship.

“This means everything, I’ve got big dreams and aspirations, and winning on the PGA Tour was certainly part of that,” said van Rooyen. “To win here this week, under the conditions, you know, the pressure that I was under, I’m going to take so much confidence from this. I am over the moon."
