Iconic golf brand retains Discover Puerto Rico to provide multimedia services

Destination Marketing Organization has garnered awards for creative work; Now available for hire by third parties — brands, businesses, and organizations of all types

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO (August 23, 2021) – Discover Puerto Rico – the private, not for-profit Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) that has made the Island visible to the world as a premier travel destination – has been retained by one of golf’s most iconic brands, to provide creative services supporting its business.

Responsible for all global marketing, sales and promotion of the destination, the DMO has garnered multiple awards for its industry-leading creative work since its origin in 2018. It has brought prosperity to the people of Puerto Rico by collaboratively positioning the Island’s diversity and uniqueness for leisure, business, and events.

The leading golf brand has retained Discover Puerto Rico Studios to conduct a two-day photo shoot. DMO will capture images and video, and the content will be used to promote one of the brand’s high-profile events. 

“We believe in the power of storytelling; done well it inspires people to travel to our Island and to support third-party businesses that entrust their brands with us,” said Leah Chandler, CDME, Discover Puerto Rico, Chief Marketing Officer. “Having our talented multimedia team partner with this supreme brand was a common-sense expansion of our services. We have 18 courses and many golf resorts, have been a PGA TOUR stop for 13 years – the Puerto Rico Open – and golf is one of many reasons why people choose to visit the Island.”

This is the latest in a series of industry-leading accomplishments for Puerto Rico recently. It continues to ascend faster and better than its competitors according to statistics. Passenger arrivals into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) – the air hub of the Caribbean – are some of the highest ever. Increasing arrivals from the U.S. market are validated in the additional capacity that air carriers have added, and lodging demand is higher than pre-pandemic.

Traveling to the Island is convenient and welcoming due to the traveler friendliness found in Puerto Rico’s bilingual culture, U.S. currency, and no passport required for American citizens. Its history, food, culture, beaches, casinos, golf courses, vibrant arts scene, rainforest, bioluminescent bays, and LGBTQ friendly atmosphere offer a plethora of reasons to visit.
