World Golf Village welcomes new director of food and beverage

St. Augustine, Fla. (August 23, 2021) – The World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Fla. recently welcomed Rick Waters as the club’s new Director of Food & Beverage. Waters will oversee all food and beverage operations at The King & Bear and Slammer & Squire including AJ's Kitchen & Cocktails (a Southern Coastal dining venue which opened to rave reviews last summer), the Legend’s Grille, WGV Eats food trailer, beverage cart operations, on-premises and off-premises catering and social events.

Waters joins the World Golf Village Resort with a strong background in developing food and beverage operations and enhancing guest service standards. Waters began his hospitality career at The University Club at Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. and went on to work at The University Club in Jacksonville, Fla. He then went on to the highly acclaimed oceanfront resort The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. where he worked with current World Golf Village’s Chef Chris Pickren. Most recently, Waters served as assistant general manager at the historic Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club in Jacksonville.
