Sabino Springs Homeowners Association Purchases Arizona National Golf Club

The Sabino Springs Homeowners Association acquired the property from Romspen Arizona National LLC. It is a gated community of 515 homes amid 430 acres of natural desert at the base of the Catalina Foothills next door to Arizona National Golf Club.

(TUCSON, Ariz.)Arizona National Golf Club – the Robert Trent Jones Jr. desert gem located in northeast Tucson – announces the club has been purchased by Sabino Springs Homeowners Association.

The Sabino Springs Homeowners Association acquired the property from Romspen Arizona National LLC. It is a gated community of 515 homes amid 430 acres of natural desert at the base of the Catalina Foothills next door to Arizona National Golf Club. The development was designed with an emphasis on preservation and animal protection. As result, almost half the property is designated to remain undeveloped, making this community a unique blend of golf course and wilderness.

“We are thrilled to have the Sabino Springs community on board and directing us into the future,” says Jeff Brandt, general manager of Arizona National. “With how intimate a connection they already have with our golf course and how much they already care for our surrounding land, it only makes sense our partnership is now official.”

Opening in 1996, Arizona National Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains and neighbors to the Coronado National Forest. A diverse 6,785-yard layout that follows the rugged natural flow of land across shady mesquite-lined arroyos and skirts craggy rock outcroppings. It is a golfer’s dream with spectacular scenery of panoramic mountain vistas, forests of giant saguaros, and nine natural springs.

“From the beginning, our golf course has been a reflection of its native desert roots and we hope it remains that way forever,” continues Brandt. “Now having the guidance of Sabino Springs with their property in focus as well, we are confident Arizona National will remain the strong community asset it has become.”
