Golftec participates in PGA HOPE National Golf and Wellness Week

Denver, CO, October 26, 2021 -- GOLFTEC, the world leader in golf improvement and club fitting, is proud to once again have supported and participated in the PGA HOPE National Golf and Wellness Week, taking place October 14-18 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. GOLFTEC has been a proud supporter of the military and Veterans for many years, and through the GOLFTEC Cares initiative raise over $2 million annually to support charitable efforts like PGA HOPE.

GOLFTEC sent a team to participate in the four-day program, which provides advanced golf instruction and wellness training, helping veterans assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game provides. GOLFTEC Spokane Coach Chris Runyan, a US Marine, was among those in attendance. Runyan, the 2020 PGA Patriot Award recipient, created Northwest Golfers for Warriors and VETS on the Green, two causes that help get Veterans on the course and enjoy the game of golf.

“It’s such an honor to be a part of this great event, helping Veterans across the county,” said Runyan. “As a Veteran, who works for GOLFTEC and is a PGA Professional, being associated with these two organizations that support this cause makes me extremely proud.”

The PGA HOPE National Golf and Wellness Week program is led by PGA Professionals and offered free of charge to Veterans. There are currently 165 PGA HOPE chapters across the country that positively impact more than 3,500 veterans every year.
