The year 2021 began with a sense of optimism, and golf operators have not been disappointed as the game has continued to thrive across Canada. Tagmarshal’s partners again demonstrated how implementing optimization technology, good management practices, and enabling continuous data driven improvement, have been the keys to achieving success in what has been a very busy golf season in Canada.
To celebrate their course partners achievements, Tagmarshal once again recognizes those courses who delivered outstanding success with the announcement of the 2021 Awards. While entry into the Tagmarshal Awards is automatic for partner courses, only exceptional performance is rewarded based on benchmarking data and measured course results.
“Well done to all of our partners on their excellent results over the past year - and especially to the courses that have received Tagmarshal Awards, for their exceptional performance. Our focus is on building long term partnerships and continuing to deliver innovative optimization technology and tools that add value to the industry, year after year. Improving player experiences, saving costs and maximizing revenue are key to the industry and we are proud to have played a role in our partners achieving measurable results.” said Stephen Knoop, Managing Director - Canada, Tagmarshal
The Awards are a way of showcasing and rewarding excellence among course partners as well as instilling a strong drive for improvement, season after season. These consist of three categories – Diamond, Platinum, and Gold, as well as a separate category for stand out recipients who achieved success within a specific area.
Tagmarshal congratulates all Canadian winners, but particularly the Diamond Award winner, Pinegrove Country Club, on their high levels of performance and service. This exceptional course has shown incredible improvements in pace and flow of play, with a positive impact on the player experience, while deploying further optimization strategies resulting in optimal efficiency, enhanced levels of service and operational savings.
Other stand-out achievers included Firerock, who received the Top Innovator Award. Several Canadian courses also received Tagmarshal Platinum awards:

“We are truly proud of what our partners have achieved this year, with courses operating under intense pressure due to the increase in course traffic. Throughout their busy season, courses large and small continued to deliver the exceptional player experiences and high levels of on-course service their members and guests love. In many cases saving costs and generating additional revenue in the process. This is a win-win for both players and course operators,” said Bodo Sieber, CEO, Tagmarshal.
Winning courses are identified based on their performance, using the below data-driven criteria:
- Enhanced Player Experiences
- Improved Field Flow and Pace of Play
- Optimization strategies deployed
- Increased efficiency
- On-course service delivery and player communication
