OnCore Golf supports Jim McLean’s golf school fundraiser

All proceeds to benefit underprivileged junior golfers

BUFFALO, N.Y. - OnCore Golf, creators of the industry’s only high-performance, perimeter-weighted golf balls is supporting one of the top-ranked golf instructors in the United States; Jim McLean. McLean, through his golf academy JMGS is hosting the JMGS Golf Fundraiser on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Jim McLean School of Golf at the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables, FL 33134 (2:00pm – 5:00pm).

In addition to expecting over 250 attendees, junior golfers will experience a professional clinic hosted by PGA Tour Player Erik Compton (OnCore Golf ambassador), a trick-shot show by world-renowned trick-shot artist Tania Tare (OnCore Golf ambassador), and be able to meet Miami Heat legends Ray Allen and Alonzo Mourning.  In addition, six lucky junior golfers will have the opportunity to play in JMGS Golf Fundraiser’s signature event – the 5-hole challenge.

All proceeds of the event will directly benefit the South Florida Golf Foundation (SFGF). The SFGF encourages underprivileged junior golfers to prevail and reach their own personal goals through high school and collegiate levels. Funds grant athletes access to crucial rounds of golf, tournaments, private and group instruction, equipment, and scholarships.

“We believe to grow the game of golf, it starts with the next generation,” states Keith Blakely, CEO OnCore Golf. “Not only is golf a difficult sport, but it is often an expensive one as well. OnCore Golf continues to look for organizations like Jim’s who work closely with young golfers to help them enjoy the game, get better, and stay on the course. Knowing that equipment is an important factor in the game, OnCore will be providing each attendee with golf balls tailored to their skill level to put in their golf bag.”

OnCore Golf has committed 72 dozen (288 sleeves) of golf balls to the JMGS Golf Fundraiser. Based on skill-level, OnCore will supply their three-ball suite of perimeter-weighted, high-performance golf balls; AVANT 55, a low-compression, super-soft two-piece Surlyn ball designed for slower swing speeds (junior or beginner golfers). ELIXR, a premium cast urethane, three-piece ball which offers optimal balance between distance off the tee and control around the greens for moderate swing speeds. VERO X1, a high compression, four-piece Tour-caliber ball featuring low driver spin, higher launch, tremendous distance, great feel and 60% less sidespin off the driver face for outstanding accuracy.

“We are excited to have OnCore Golf step up to help the JMGS Golf Fundraiser raise a lot of money for junior golf here in Miami. With their assistance, juniors will have the opportunity to play 100 rounds of golf next year,” stats Jim McLean. “It’s a perfect fit given that their focus has been on bringing new products, technologies, and innovations to the game – elements that will help attract new golfers of all ages, but especially junior golfers, to this great game.”
