PGA Career Services and Fore Hire form strategic partnership to promote employment opportunities and paths to PGA membership for women in the golf industry

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2022) – PGA Career Services and FORE HIRE announced today a strategic partnership that will directly connect interested and diversified female job candidates to employment opportunities within the golf industry.

PGA Career Services and FORE HIRE will use their respective resources to help identify qualified, diverse women candidates, educate them on employment opportunities, and then help them find positions that will develop their strengths and interests in an industry that provides for more than 2 million jobs. In addition, the candidates will learn about the paths to PGA Membership from the PGA Career Services recruitment team, who are available to connect individuals with job opportunities across the industry. Candidates interested in learning more about immediate openings and opportunities are urged to visit jobs.pga.org or contact recruiting@pga.com.

FORE HIRE, led by President and Founder Courtney Swaim Trimble, is an organization that educates, guides, and inspires both former and current college golfers who are looking to transition into successful careers in the business world. Its latest mission, the Women FORE HIRE Initiative, empowers women by creating a diverse pipeline of talent that connects directly to companies throughout the golf industry and beyond.

PGA Career Services is a Gold Sponsor of the Women FORE HIRE Virtual Job Fair, Jan. 19-20. PGA Career Consultants will be prominent during the sessions, enabling attendees to discover specific employment opportunities that are available. Employers who are actively recruiting positions will also attend.

“We’re thrilled to partner with FORE HIRE, to connect people who are interested in a career in
golf, as well as the lifelong journey of becoming and developing skills as a PGA Member,” said PGA of America President Jim Richerson. “We look forward to working with candidates and presenting them with the many opportunities across our $84 billion golf industry.”

“This partnership is going to help a lot of women, and I’m thrilled that we’ve joined forces,” Trimble said. “PGA Career Services has been actively recruiting outstanding candidates for a long time, and I look forward to continuing to help find ways to bring more diversity into the golf industry.”

About FORE HIRE
FORE HIRE was founded by Courtney Swaim Trimble to help educate and inspire both former and current competitive golfers looking to transition into successful careers in the business world, then connect those athletes with businesses to create mutual opportunities, mentorship programs and professional growth. After dabbling in professional golf for a few years, Trimble found her way back to coaching and landed at Auburn, her alma mater. After three years there she jumped to UCF for her first head coaching job, then moved onto Louisville from 2012-19. Trimble’s coaching success made her realize how passionate she is about helping players progress through their respective golf careers. That is why FORE HIRE was created and why the Women FORE HIRE Initiative is its biggest focus.
