Junior Golf Hub and First Tee - Connecticut announce partnership

Connecticut juniors can access most powerful platform in college golf placement

(RIDGEFIELD, Conn.)Junior Golf Hub (JGH) – the leading online community for junior golfers, their parents and college coaches – announces a partnership with First Tee - Connecticut to provide local junior golfers and their parents with the tools and resources to play college golf.

Current First Tee - Connecticut members ages 13 to 18 will receive a free, one-year membership to JGH, which connects juniors with college golf coaches through tailored, searchable online profiles. The LinkedIn-style player pages host relevant academic and athletic measurables such as verified tournament scores, swing speed, GPA, test scores and much more. The player profiles are viewable by more than 2,300 men’s and women’s college golf programs, where coaches can choose to connect with a player directly or “follow” them to track their progress.

“A Junior Golf Hub membership has proven to be an invaluable tool for not only the thousands of junior members that have used the platform to play golf in college, but also their parents as they navigate the complicated journey to play college golf,” says Junior Golf Hub’s founder, Roger Knick. “At its core, Junior Golf Hub is about breaking down the barriers to playing college golf, and we are excited to deliver that same access to the families of First Tee - Connecticut.”

In furtherance of each organization’s shared mission of providing young people with opportunities to excel in life through golf, the Ridgefield-based Golf Performance Center will award one First Tee - Connecticut member with a scholarship to its ACHIEVE Academy for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ACHIEVE Academy is a full-time school (6 -12 grade) that offers an educational experience tailored to the individual to attain greatness in the classroom, on the golf course and in life.

“We are incredibly fortunate to be part of the same golf community as the Junior Golf Hub,” says First Tee – Connecticut Executive Director, Mark Moriarty. “We thank Roger Knick and the entire JGH team for partnering with our chapter to offer teenage participants access to this game-changing platform, which will allow them to discover what is inside of them while building and strengthening those assets that enable them to grow and flourish.”

To facilitate access to golf for all young people in Connecticut, a First Tee golf club and clothing donation drop-off site will now operate out of JGH’s facilities in Ridgefield, CT (located at The Golf Performance Center).

JGH recently launched a first-of-its-kind feature called “College Match,” which compares a student-athletes’ data to over 2,200 college golf programs across the country to deliver a list of the ten ‘best’ college matches. The feature considers GPA, standardized test scores, verified tournament results, scoring averages and more.
