January 2022 – HackMotion, the creator and producer of revolutionary motion tracking sensors for golfers, has announced an affordable new consumer version of its unique device that helps track and understand all-important wrist motion during the swing.
The new product will be officially introduced to teachers and the public during a special webinar event Jan. 24 in advance of the 2022 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida.
HackMotion is a lightweight device whose main sensor wraps around the golfer’s “lead” wrist (left wrist for right-handed players) like a watch, with a second sensor that attaches to the palm and fingers via Velcro strap or to a golf glove with a small clip. The device connects to HackMotion iOS app via Bluetooth. After creating a free personal account the setup and calibration take just 30 seconds.
With just a few swings, every golfer using HackMotion gains invaluable insight into how his or her wrists move in three crucial ways. In real time, HackMotion measures Flexion (bowing) and Extension (cupping); Radial/Ulnar hinging and unhinging (the “loading” action of the wrist); and Rotation of the wrist through the swing (the “release” of the club through and after impact). Data is immediately saved to the cloud for analysis and comparison to wrist movement numbers for Tour players such as Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Thorbjorn Oleson. Users can track their progress and share their information with a coach at any time.
“Clubface control is the key to consistency because the clubface determines more than 80% of ball direction,” says Reinholds Pirags, HackMotion COO. “The wrist angles directly control the clubface and the best players in the world are great at controlling these angles.”
HackMotion’s developers worked with top teachers over several years to identify and isolate all the wrist motion patterns common to effective and efficient clubface control.

The device also helps groove pitching, chipping and putting motions.
