While Florida will be the center of the golf industry next week, as leaders gather in Orlando for the PGA Merchandise Show, the Sunshine State is a keen focus for all of 2022 for TurfHound Inc., which recently extended annual agreements with both the South Florida and North Florida PGA Sections, representing their combined 3,300 Professionals.
TurfHound Inc., the pioneer and leader in premium dynamic synthetic golf tee systems, will be a Supporting Partner of the 2022 South Florida Open, to be played June 21-23 at Miromar Lakes (Florida) Beach & Golf Club. This marks the sixth consecutive year that TurfHound has forged a strong relationship with the South Florida PGA, whose approximately 1,850 Professionals make it the second-largest among the 41 PGA Sections nationwide.
TurfHound will be a Partner of the North Florida PGA Section, which the company has supported each year since 2018. The North Florida PGA features approximately 1,500 Professionals, ranking it among the top-four largest PGA Sections.
"PGA Professionals are the cornerstones of the game and business of golf, and we are passionate about our support of them," says Brian Golden, TurfHound's Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing who also was a PGA member for nearly 25 years. "The Professionals in these two outstanding Sections help grow the game, and they continue to be great advocates for our tee systems at private, public, municipal and military facilities throughout Florida."
Meredith Schuler, Assistant Executive Director of the South Florida PGA Section, says "it has been a great honor to have TurfHound as part of our family of partners for the last six years. TurfHound has worked with many South Florida golf facilities, elevating their teeing areas, and we look forward to many more years working together."
At the North Florida PGA, Steve McMillen, the Section's Executive Director, adds that TurfHound tee systems continue to make an impression on PGA Professionals and the more than 400 PGA-staffed facilities where they are employed.
"TurfHound is a respected partner of the North Florida PGA, and our longstanding relationship has been mutually beneficial for both our Section and TurfHound," he says. "TurfHound products are recognized as the most realistic, versatile, and durable surfaces in golf. Their products provide golfers with the experience they would have from natural turf, so facilities can provide quality practice space when natural turf is not available due to weather or maintenance."
TurfHound is coming off its biggest year ever, and through continued relationships with influential Sections such as the South Florida PGA and the North Florida PGA, the company is excited as it moves forward, one practice shot at a time.
"We have the best products to help golfers experience the feel of hitting off real turf," Golden explains, "and with these types of partnerships, our business will only grow stronger."
