NAPLES, Fla., Feb. 16, 2022 – The tournament field for the 2022 Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO was finalized Monday following an 18-hole Monday Qualifier at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers. Phillip Price (4-under 68); Paul Stankowski (1-under 71); Mauricio Molina (even par 72); and Craig Kanada (even par 72) captured the top-four spots to gain entry in to the first full-field event of the 2022 PGA TOUR Champions season, taking place Friday-Sunday, Feb. 18-20 at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Fla.
Molina and Kanada captured the final two spots via a seven-person playoff.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary in Naples and one of the longest-running regular season events on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule, the Chubb Classic will feature an 80-player field competing for a share of a $1.6 million purse.
The field features eight World Golf Hall-of-Fame members, including Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie, José María Olazábal and Ian Woosnam. Davis Love III, an early commitment to the Chubb Classic, withdrew from the field and is being replaced by first alternate Stephen Leaney.
Five players will be making their PGA TOUR Champions debuts, including five-time PGA TOUR winner Brian Gay; PGA of America professional and Final Stage medalist Rob Labritz; 2009 PGA Champion Y.E. Yang; PGA of America Professional and Calusa Pines Golf Club Director of Golf Michael Balliet (sponsor exemption); and four-time Crump Cup champion and former amateur standout Michael Muehr (sponsor exemption).
Also in the field includes former World No. 1 David Duval, 17-time PGA TOUR winner Jim Furyk, three-time major champion Padraig Harrington, 18-time PGA TOUR Champions winner Jay Haas, and 2019 Chubb Classic champion Miguél Angél Jimenez, who won the season-opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in January.

- $125 per day. Private luxury suite offering exclusive views of the 17th green. Includes hot appetizers, afternoon snacks, soft drinks and cash bar.
- $400 per day. Private luxury suite overlooking the 18th green. Includes premium full lunch buffet, open bar and valet parking.
Tiburón Golf Club, the only facility to host a PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and LPGA Tour event in the same calendar year, features two 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf courses, The Gold and The Black. The Black Course, which opened in 2001, has a very distinctive look with its pine straw-lined fairways, crushed coquina waste areas and undulating greens nestled amidst acres of pine trees and native Florida foliage. The Black Course is designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International to protect and enhance its natural surroundings.
The 2021 Chubb Classic was contested in April at The Black Course at Tiburón Golf Club, where Steve Stricker captured his sixth PGA TOUR Champions victory by one stroke over Robert Karlsson and Alex Cejka.
