NFL Alumni Association announces 2022 NFL Draft golf pro-am schedule

Las Vegas joins Akron/Canton to host draft experiences featuring NFL greats

Mount Laurel, NJ – March 3, 2022 –– The NFL Alumni Association is growing its golf pro-am and experience platform around the NFL Draft to feature events in both Las Vegas, Nevada, and Akron/Canton, Ohio in April, 2022.  Former NFL players will join amateur teams for golf on some of America’s top courses and get an inside look at what the NFL Draft means to these men. This will be the second playing of this official event following a sell-out of the inaugural NFL Alumni Draft Pro-Am & Experience in 2021 at the famed Firestone Country Club in Akron. Both events will benefit the NFL Player Care Foundation and the NFL Alumni’s Caring for Kids initiative.

Las Vegas, the NFL Draft’s host city will feature with three 18-hole competitions from April 27-29. Golf rounds will be hosted at Cascata Golf Club, Rio Secco Golf Course and Bear’s Best Las Vegas. The host city for this year’s NFL Draft, Las Vegas will have a maximum of 24 teams of four amateurs, each to be joined for nine holes by an NFL alum. Team entry fees are $8800 and include the three tournament rounds, daily gourmet food and beverage, an NFL Alumni Chalk Talk during a Tailgate on the Range, and the opportunity for attendees to go down to the Vegas Strip for the live NFL Draft “party” on Thursday night.

Firestone Country Club’s renowned South and North courses will again host its two-day Draft Pro-Am, April 27-28. Up to 48 teams will be captained by NFL Alumni for two rounds of golf. Participants will enjoy great food and beverage each day, nightly receptions, a Tailgate Party dinner, an NFL Alumni Chalk Talk during the Tailgate and a closing awards dinner and live auction held during round one of the NFL Draft. Team entry fees are $5600.

“Golf is an important activity for our members so adding a golf event to the NFL Draft made perfect sense,” said NFL Alumni CEO Beasley Reece. “Golf connects our members in NFL Alumni chapters with their communities around a common cause of helping others and celebrating a game that has meant so much to us in our lives.”

Limited sponsorship opportunities for all three events are available and range from $10,000 for one city to a $150,000 presenting sponsorship for the entire series.
