Quarterdeck reopens on April 6

Iconic dining destination features best views on Hilton Head Island

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (March 29, 2022) – The date is set for the opening of Quarterdeck—the perennially popular dining and gathering spot for Hilton Head locals and visitors alike: Wednesday, April 6.

This iconic dining destination, which is located adjacent to the lighthouse in Harbour Town at The Sea Pines Resort, has been rebuilt to include generous indoor and outdoor seating options with an expansive wraparound deck, an indoor bar and dining area on the first floor, and a rooftop oyster bar offering 270-degree views of Harbour Town Yacht Basin, the famed 18th hole of Harbour Town Golf Links, and Calibogue Sound.

A casual, walk-up market on the ground level becomes the place to grab a quick bite or stock up on provisions.  The market will include a fresh seafood counter, wines, microbrews, cheeses, and grab-and-go sandwiches. And the ice cream counter featuring 12 flavors of Häagen-Dazs is sure to be an instant hit.

A choice of seating areas will allow The Quarterdeck to serve guests seeking a romantic sunset cocktail or a golf group comparing the day’s scores. A circular bar, firepits with soft seating, open-air dining with breezes off the water, an oyster-shucking station, and other welcoming features add to the engaging dynamics of this new attraction. A rotating, daily schedule of live entertainment will feature the island’s best musicians.

Quarterdeck Executive Chef Kevin Keogh, who has worked alongside Resort Executive Chef Benjamin Harris, created the new menu featuring a wide variety of seafood, from shrimp, fried calamari, and the catch of the day; plus a raw bar rich with half-shell oysters, Maine lobster cocktail, and tuna poke. Fresh ingredients will be sourced from numerous local purveyors, including Sea Eagle Market, Maggiano Oyster Company, and GrowFood Carolina. The extensive seafood selection will be complemented by classics such as the Duroc pork chop and charcoal-roasted prime rib.  More than 40 different wines will be offered, along with a generous selection of wines by the glass, and a full cocktail selection highlighted by a host of signature concoctions.

Open daily, the Quarterdeck Market will serve from 10 am to 6 pm (ice cream served until 9 pm), with Quarterdeck open for dining from 11 am to 10 pm.
