Indigo Sports and Cincinnati Recreation Commission agree to contract extension

For the past 19 years, the CRC golf courses have partnered with Indigo to create first class, accessible golf experiences for local residents.

(CINCINNATI, Ohio)Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) – operator of six beloved local and public golf courses – announces it has agreed to a contract extension with Indigo Sports through the year 2026 with extensions available through the year 2030.

For the past 19 years, the CRC golf courses have partnered with Indigo to create first class, accessible golf experiences for local residents. Indigo’s forward-thinking operations and marketing platform, along with its commitment to golfer development programs, have consistently positioned CRC’s golf courses as some of the most popular in the region.

CRC Golf has been a leader in growing the game at the grassroots level. Reeves and Neumann Golf Courses serve as home sites for the First Tee of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. In addition, CRC Golf Courses offer free community golf days and support numerous leading junior golf programs. In 2021, CRC unveiled the revitalized Jimmy Woods Learning Center located at Avon Fields Golf Course to rave reviews.

“We have been honored to work with such a historic and trailblazing organization for two decades now,” says Nick Bednar, Vice President of Operations for Indigo Sports. “We’re proud to continue our partnership with CRC, and look forward to providing local golfers high-quality, accessible and affordable experiences for many years to come.”

Over the past two years, Indigo helped guide CRC’s team through the recent pandemic golf boom and become an even stronger community asset to the people of Cincinnati.

“Indigo’s guidance over the past couple of years has been nothing short of remarkable,” says Steve Pacella, Assistant Director for CRC. “From the onset of the pandemic, the CRC golf courses were instrumental in providing essential services to our citizens along with being a haven for many new and returning golfers. Our success has been created in large part thanks to Indigo’s unwavering leadership.”

Opening in 1924, Avon Fields Golf Course is the oldest CRC course designed by William Diddel. Diddel then added the nine-hole Woodland Golf Course in 1931 and another 18-hole layout, California Golf Course, in 1935. After a few more decades, Diddel decided to add two more 18-hole layouts: The Neumann Course in 1960 and the Reeves Golf Course in 1965.

Glenview Golf Course, opened in 1975 under the watchful eye of Arthur Hills. It’s Cincinnati's premier public championship layout, offering 27 beautiful holes with lush landscapes, panoramic views and demanding hazard features. Glenview was once ranked among Golf Digest's Top 75 Public Courses in the U.S. and was site of the 1987 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
