(LOS ANGELES, Calif.) – Premium ladies’ golf-lifestyle apparel brand LOHLA SPORT has launched a Junior Ambassador Program for pre-teen and early-teen girls who excel at golf, community service and academics.
The roster already includes 12- and 13-year-old girls from California, Florida and Michigan. They will wear LOHLA SPORT coordinated tops, bottoms, skorts and outerwear during golf activities.
After recognizing there are limited apparel-related ambassador programs for junior girl golfers, LOHLA SPORT Founder and CEO Lisa O’Hurley sought to reward well-rounded pre-teens with college and professional golf aspirations.
“We make sizes XXS and XS that’s perfect for pre-teens, early-teens and petite ladies,” says O’Hurley, who debuted the popular brand in January 2021 alongside former Burberry and Aquascutum fashion designer Paul Rees. “I remember playing golf as a pre-teen and having nothing to wear. These girls want to look more contemporary and sophisticated but have a hard time finding sporty golf clothes that don’t make them look childish.”
The most popular LOHLA SPORT styles among junior golfers are the Chevron sleeveless and long sleeve tops, and the signature, staple “The Very Pant” featuring four-pockets and full, four-way stretch fabric available in several colors. The entire, current “The Streets of Los Angeles collection (minus a few outerwear pieces) includes these XXS and XS sizes.
Junior and adult female golfers praise the brand’s European design with Los Angeles flair and its comfortable chic aesthetic that’s well on its way to creating a “Golfleisure” movement akin to LuLulemon and the “Athleisure” craze.
Girls ages nine to 13 can apply for the junior ambassador program, with parental or guardian permission, by submitting a brief background about their golf, community and academic approaches and achievements to hello@lohlasport.com.
LOHLA SPORT reached new heights in popularity with “The Streets of Los Angeles collection depicting the distinct vibes of city neighborhoods. Its “Rodeo Drive,” “Ocean Avenue,” “Hollywood Boulevard,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “Melrose Place capsules feature stylish, playful and classy coordinated tops, bottoms, skorts, outerwear and headwear. Cuts are flattering yet not overtly sexy, made of fine-quality fabrics sourced worldwide and optimize athletic movements.
Early this year, LOHLA SPORT partnered with golf legend Annika Sorenstam for the golf legend to exclusively wear the brand’s apparel in golf tournaments and other activities. More recently, it signed highly touted LPGA Tour player Maude LeBlanc to a similar role.
