(DELRAY BEACH, Fla.) – In celebration of the Fourth of July, Whiskers has unveiled its “Americana Collection” of men’s and women’s red, white and blue, golf-specific laces in solid and pattern designs.
The “Heartland” three-pack features solid navy blue, fire-engine red and picket-fence white golf laces. The “Stars and Stripes” three-pack features one pair of red and blue striped golf laces and pairs of red, white and blue, and navy and Carolina blue golf weave laces. Each three-pack is $40.
Available in 33-inch round and 45- to 72-inch flat lengths, the golf laces seamlessly fit into FootJoy, adidas, Nike, Puma, ECCO and other leading footwear brands.
“Making the most of celebrating America’s independence is important to Whiskers,” says Kyle Groth, CEO of Whiskers. “That premise aligns with why Whiskers laces are made in the U.S.A. and why we favor red, white and blue in many of our creations.”
Sharing in Whiskers patriotic principles, PGA TOUR players and caddies will be encouraged to wear Heartland and Stars and Stripes golf laces during the 2022 U.S. Open (June 16-20), John Deere Classic (June 30-July 3) and Barbasol Championship (week beginning July 4). LPGA players and caddies will don the red, white and blue Whiskers laces during the U.S. Women’s Open (June 2-5).
The “Americana Collection” follows Whiskers’ “Stand With Ukraine” program whereby the company donated all profits from sales of its yellow and blue shoelaces – colors of the country’s flag – to Save the Children Ukraine and the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, two highly respected non-profits.
“We are deeply concerned about global peace, stability and bettering the lives of those who are suffering,” says Groth. “There’s been incredible support and momentum from loyal Whiskers wearers and others have graciously joined this refugee support pledge.”
In addition to golf laces, Whiskers designs and manufactures laces specifically for dress and casual shoes, sneakers and boots. They coordinate in style and color with trendy footwear and apparel brands, are crafted with ultra-durable poly-nylon tech weave and high-grade aglets, and come in multiple styles, shapes and lengths.
Early this year, Whiskers introduced 42 new colors and patterns to its already robust collection. Among them are turquoise, mint green, Vegas gold, guava and lavender, as well as neon laces in blue, green, orange, pink and yellow. They join popular solid laces in navy, Carolina blue, pink and red. Navy-light blue, orange-white, berry-black, green-blue and purple-pink are top-selling patterns.
Whiskers is re-imagining a category that’s been long overlooked for decades yet is now an essential part of premium wardrobes. Personalizing and dressing up shoes in fashionable and fun ways – without being too loud – mirrors today’s “individualism” frenzy.
Founded in 2018 and based in Delray Beach, Florida, Whiskers designs, manufactures and sells premium, bespoke and on-trend shoelaces a la carte. The company, led by serial entrepreneurs and veterans of Nike and Crocs, is rallying off a growing behavior of self-expression, color pops and Made-in-the-USA preference. Disrupting status quo ordinary shoelaces at regular shops, drug stores, supermarkets and in new shoes, Whiskers boasts more than 50 colors and patterns for men’s and women’s sneakers, casual and dress shoes, boots and golf shoes. Made of ultra-durable poly-nylon weave with an appropriate amount of stretch, high-grade aglets withstand tough conditions and are slim wrapped to fit skinny eyelets. Retailers and online shoppers find Whiskers’ upscale, eye-catching packaging of colorful laces on sustainable, wooden spools extremely attractive. At $15 for one pair, $40 for a set of three and $60 for a set of five, Whiskers is affordable luxury. The company also manufactures socks in colors and designs matching the laces.
