The Golf Datatech numbers for golf rounds played during June 2022 are released this week with confirmation that rounds were up 2.7% vs. the same month last year. On a Year-to-Date basis, they still remain 5.7% below 2021.
Golf Datatech co-founder, John Krzynowek, commented, “We finally caught a break with the weather as only the Pacific and New England regions were down this month and both endured significantly higher precipitation. With much of the country enjoying dry conditions, golfers were back on the course.
The West North Central and East North Central both led the way, up about 7% each. These two regions are particularly important during the summer months, as they have some of the shortest seasons and the rounds are heavily concentrated during the summer months”.
Halfway thru 2022, rounds played continue to remain healthy and well above 2019 pre-pandemic levels.
