Linda Hartough Golf Landscapes to bring her art to the metaverse

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (August 16, 2022) – Linda Hartough, a world-renowned golf-landscape artist (www.hartough.com), announced the introduction of her first NFT collection of original paintings. The launch of Linda Hartough’s Original Golf Landscape NFT Collection will take place later this year.

“I am excited to bring my artwork to the metaverse and Web 3,” said Hartough. “With the recent success of NFTs in golf and art, I feel that now is a great time to move forward with the release of my own NFT collection.”

Hartough is partnering with NFT Golf Shop and LYNQZ, a specialized Web 3 golf consultancy firm. Together they have created her collection of NFT golf art.

The Original Collection, which will showcase 18 of Hartough’s iconic golf landscape images, consists of three NFT editions including various attributes and rarity. Each NFT will feature a limited-edition digital image or animation in addition to an opportunity to own Hartough’s physical artwork. The collection’s total supply is 343 NFTs with (18) 1-of-18 Emerald Editions NFTs, (18) 1-of-1 Gold Edition NFTs and (one) 1-of-1 Platinum Edition NFT scheduled to release this year.

About Linda Hartough
Linda Hartough has become recognized as one of golf’s leading artists as her work has gained international acclaim. Her golf-landscape career was launched when Augusta National Golf Club commissioned her in 1984 to paint the famed 13th Hole.

Hartough is the only artist ever commissioned by both the USGA and the R&A Golf Club of St Andrews to do the annual painting and prints for the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. Her work is displayed in the permanent collections of such legendary clubs as Augusta National, Laurel Valley, Pinehurst and Pine Valley; in the personal collections of such golf notables as Jack Nicklaus, Raymond Floyd and Rees Jones; and in the collections of the USGA Museum, in Far Hills, N.J., and the Morris Museum of Art, in Augusta, Ga.

Hartough, a 2017 inductee into the Lowcountry Golf Hall of Fame, has been honored with the Golf Digest Lifetime Achievement Award. She is a Founding Trustee of the Academy of Golf Art, a professional society of golf artists established in 2004 to create an awareness and appreciation of golf art as a valuable segment of fine art.
