Golf tour operator dedicated to the fight against cancer
September 21, 2022—Hidden Links and Golfpac Travel are pleased to be a sponsor of the 24th Annual Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Maidstone Golf Club in East Hampton, N.Y.
The Ann Liguori Foundation raises funds and awareness for cancer research and care, and each year Ann organizes and hosts the Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic in New York. The event has raised more than $1 million dollars funding at least 12 organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation; KIDS NEED MORE, camps and programs for children with cancer; East End Hospice; and many other not-for-profit organizations.
Hidden Links and Golfpac Travel has been supporting this great event and the cause to put an end to cancer for the past 4 years and this year donated a $12,000 golf trip in partnership with The Phoenician Resort, Troon North, and We-Ko-Pa golf courses. The trip includes three nights and three rounds of golf for four players at:
- The Phoenician a Luxury Collection AAA Five Diamond resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
- Troon North, 36 award-winning holes designed by Tom Weiskopf.
- We-Ko-Pa, featuring a Coore Crenshaw award-winning course. Widely viewed as the best modern day architects.
“It always feels great to support meaningful causes and with our unique position in and around the world of golf, it’s ingrained in our culture to give back” said Marc Bender and Adam Wachter, Managing Partners at Hidden Links and Golfpac Travel.
In 2021, Hidden Links & Golfpac Travel sponsored this event along with Streamsong Resort by donating a fantastic three night and three round trip for four golfers valued at $6,000. That package included three rounds of golf on the Blue, Red, and Black courses, designed by Tom Doak, Coore Crenshaw, and Gil Hanse.
Hidden Links and Golfpac Travel have been a high-level sponsor, donating more than $200,000 in golf trips, hotel stays and cash support supporting many local and national charities over the past 10 years including American Cancer Society’s Gus Machado Golf Classic, Spectrum 360 for Autism, Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Annual Golf Classic, Northwell Health Foundation Cohen Children’s Circle Golf Classic, Long Island Council On Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD the R. Brinkley Smithers Golf Invitational), Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County, Fairways for Warriors (supporting wounded veterans as well as their families), the Jay Sigel Invitational benefiting cancer research at the Abramson Family Center Research Institute @ The University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center and Gratitude America Veteran’s Day Golf Tournament as a Silver Sponsor, as well as several others.
