Golftec's Driver for Hope initiative supports PGA HOPE and the military

Denver, CO GOLFTEC – the world leader in golf lessons and premium club fittings, is proud to announce their annual DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign, supporting PGA REACH, PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) and the military. On Tuesday, PGA REACH announced the official start of the PGA National Day of HOPE campaign benefiting PGA HOPE programs across the country.

During GOLFTEC’s DRIVE FOR HOPE charity campaign, GOLFTEC will make a $1 donation for every lesson given from October 11 through Veteran’s Day (November 11), combined with generous public donations. All proceeds will be donated to PGA HOPE. The goal of GOLFTEC’s DRIVE FOR HOPE is to raise over $100,000 through lessons and donations.

“We are proud to once again sponsor the PGA National Day of HOPE campaign,” said GOLFTEC CEO Joe Assell. “Through DRIVE FOR HOPE we are able to give back to Veterans and military personnel, and help make a positive impact on the lives of these community heroes with every lesson we give.”

PGA HOPE is designed to introduce golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. PGA REACH, PGA HOPE and GOLFTEC’s DRIVE FOR HOPE aspire to create a physically and emotionally healthier Veteran community through a six- to eight-week curriculum led by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency.

The PGA National Day of HOPE campaign coincides with the 2022 PGA HOPE National Golf & Wellness Week from October 13 - 18, held at Congressional Country Club, and GOLFTEC will once again be represented at the event. GOLFTEC Grand Rapids Coach Nathan Fisher, US Army, will be among those in attendance. Fisher, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, is a PGA HOPE Certified Instructor and serves as the Assistant State Director for the Veteran Golfers Association of Michigan.

“Prior to joining the military, many Veterans were active and involved in sports, and golf definitely helps fill those voids,” said Fisher “To see the enjoyment and comradery between Veterans on the course is something that’s very special.”

In addition to the DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign, GOLFTEC is always proud to support all military personnel by offering a 10 percent discount on GOLFTEC lessons through the GOLFTEC Military Program.
