Foresight Sports, Sportsbox AI announce strategic partnership; R&A trims GB&I Walker Cup candidates down to 19; DP World Tour, PGA Tour partner with TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India

Announced: By Blue Tees Golf, becomes a strategic partner with Troon. The producer of golf rangefinders and accessories will have its products featured at Troon-affiliated golf courses worldwide.

Announced: By Foresight Sports, a partnership with Sportsbox AI, an innovator in single-camera markerless 3D motion capture on a mobile phone. The companies will integrate Foresight’s launch monitors with Sportbox’s patented 3D Golf AI technology. The result will be the industry’s first launch monitor with integrated 3D motion-capture capability.

Announced: By The R&A, a squad of 19 players who are candidates for selection to the Great Britain and Ireland team that will play the United States in the 49th Walker Cup at the Old Course in St. Andrews, Sept. 2-3. The GB&I is aiming to win back the trophy after narrowly losing 14-12 to the U.S. in 2021. The players named are James Ashfield, Josh Berry, Matthew McClean, Robert Moran, Barclay Brown, Liam Nolan, Archie Davies, Peter O’Keeffe, Arron Edwards-Hill, Mark Power, Hugh Foley, Dylan Shaw-Radford, Calum Scott, Harley Smith, Tyler Weaver, Connor Graham, John Gough, Josh Hill and Frank Kennedy.

Announced: By the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, a new partnership with the TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (TATA Steel PGTI), which includes a commitment to developing golf in India and a pathway for the country’s top players to reach the highest levels of the men’s professional game. As part of the global pathway system, the leading player — not otherwise exempt — on the 2022 TATA Steel PGTI Rankings will earn membership onto the DP World Tour for the following season beginning with the DP World Tour’s 2023 campaign.
