Rahm, Schauffele, Zalatoris, Morikawa, Finau, Homa and Matsuyama headline early player commitments to 2023 Farmers Insurance Open

San Diego’s premier golf event returns to Torrey Pines Golf Course from Wednesday, January 25 through Saturday, January 28; fans are encouraged to lock in their ticket purchases early at www.FarmersInsuranceOpen.com as various days and options will sell out and prices increase this Friday, January 6

SAN DIEGO – Major championship winners Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama, as well as fellow top-25 ranked players Xander Schauffele, Will Zalatoris, Tony Finau and Max Homa, headline the list of early player commitments for the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open, the Century Club of San Diego announced today. 

The PGA TOUR’s West Coast Swing makes its annual stop at Torrey Pines Golf Course from Wednesday, January 25 through Saturday, January 28, featuring the TOUR’s only scheduled Saturday finish for the second straight year.  

Opening Day presented by Michelob ULTRA is Wednesday, January 25. Wednesday and Thursday, January 26 are Full Field Days (Rounds 1-2) as fans are guaranteed to see the entire field of players compete before the cut is made. 

The tournament’s Championship Days (Rounds 3-4) on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28 will feature late afternoon finishes, with golf being played nearly until sunset and aired on prime time television on the East Coast.  

Fans are encouraged to act fast and purchase their tickets now, as many options will sell out and ticket prices increase approximately 20 percent beginning Friday, January 6. Grounds tickets and passes to shared hospitality venues, such as the Canyon Club overlooking the 17th and eighth greens and the newly upgraded ULTRA Pass presented by Michelob ULTRA at the ninth tee, can be purchased at
www.FarmersInsuranceOpen.com.

Jon Rahm

  • 2021 U.S. Open winner at Torrey Pines 
  • 2017 Farmers Insurance Open winner (the first of his seven career PGA TOUR titles) 

Xander Schauffele

  • La Jolla native, graduate of Scripps Ranch High School and San Diego State
  • Seven-time PGA TOUR winner and 2020 Olympic gold medalist 

Will Zalatoris

  • Runner-up finish at 2022 Farmers Insurance Open, placing second to Luke List in a one-hole playoff
  • Finished second in two major championships last season – in a playoff at the PGA Championship and at the U.S. Open 

Collin Morikawa

  • Eighth player in golf history to win two major championships before the age of 25, with victories at the 2020 PGA Championship and 2021
  • Open Championship Five-time PGA TOUR winner  

Tony Finau

  • Five-time winner on the PGA TOUR, with three of those victories coming since last July 
  • Has four top-10 finishes at the Farmers Insurance Open, including a T2 in 2021

Max Homa

  • Five-time winner on the PGA TOUR, with three of those coming in his native California 
  • Won twice last season  

Hideki Matsuyama

  •  2021 Masters champion - the first Japanese professional golfer to win a men's major championship 
  • Eight-time PGA TOUR winner and finished third at the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open 

Grounds tickets are currently $65 per day for Full Field Days on Wednesday and Thursday (January 25-26), and increase to $80 on January 6.  Championship Days on Friday and Saturday (January 27-28) are $75 and increase to $90 on January 6. 

The newly upgraded ULTRA Pass presented by Michelob ULTRA includes access to the private ULTRA Zone at the ninth tee, featuring all-inclusive beer, seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages, covered and outdoor tables, upgraded concessions, upgraded restrooms, and televisions showing live coverage for fans 21 and older. Tickets are currently $160 per day Wednesday and Thursday, increasing to $195 on January 6, and $195 per day Friday and Saturday, increasing to $240 on January 6.  

Canyon Club tickets, overlooking the eighth and 17th greens and featuring all-inclusive food and full bar, covered open-air seating, upgraded restrooms and televisions showing live coverage, are $335 per day Wednesday and Thursday, increasing to $365 on January 6, and $375 for Saturday, increasing to $410 on January 6.  Friday has already sold out for this venue. 

All tickets to the Farmers Insurance Open will be digital. After purchase, fans can load their tickets to their smartphone’s mobile wallet to display as they enter the tournament gates.
