Using golf to facilitate physical and mental recoveries of wounded, injured and sick veterans, and harvest newfound confidence into careers in golf, On Course Foundation conducts free educational programs in 15 states across America.  Curriculum focuses on golf playing and golf business skills.

“Service men and women possess tremendous work ethic and discipline learned in the military and carried to the civilian business world,” says Shauna Snyder, Military Liaison and Employment Manager for On Course Foundation.  “In a giving-back way, golf companies are increasingly stepping up to help our nation’s heroes overcome their physical and hidden wounds.”

“If it wasn’t for On Course Foundation, I’d be lost,” says Craig Richardson, an Air Force veteran with an amputated right leg, left knee injuries and a shattered humerus on his shoulders.  “On Course Foundation helped me learn the game and business of golf and facilitated my employment with Callaway, VPAR and now Baltusrol Golf Club.”

Richardson is among the more than 2,000 veterans in the U.S. and U.K. that On Course Foundation has helped achieve physical, mental, social, professional and financial stability.

On Course Foundation’s work is propelled by sponsorships and grants from Charles Schwab, Apollo Global Management, Barclays, CSX, J.P. Morgan, KPMG and other corporations.  Golf companies and individuals also financially contribute to the organization in salute to the military, the game of golf and vastly improving lives which otherwise would have completely spiraled downward.
