U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issues new patent for Club-Conex Uni-Fit adjustable driver system

Newly issued patent was followed by International Trade Commission (ITC) order affirming prior patents and preventing the importation of replica or counterfeit systems

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (January 23, 2023) — True Spec Golf LLC is pleased to announce that on August 30, 2022, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Patent. No. 11,426,638 to its subsidiary, Club-Conex LLC. The recently issued patent, along with U.S. Patent. No. 9,724,571, covers the technology behind Club-Conex’s Uni-Fit adjustable driver system.

The issuance of U.S. Patent. No. 11,426,638 reinforces Club-Conex’s position as the industry’s leading universal club adapter system used by hundreds of custom club fitters worldwide. The newly issued patent is infringed by foreign products that use Club-Conex’s technology, including the All-Fit line of adapters (one such product is the second picture below).

The issuance of Club-Conex’s newest patent was followed in December 2022 by an Order by the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) finding that All-Fit’s replicas of Club-Conex’s Faz-Fit and Fuse-Fit adapters violate two of Club-Conex’s other patents, U.S. Patent No. 7,857,709 and U.S. Patent No. 8,562,454, and preventing the importation of replica and counterfeit Faz-Fit and Fuse-Fit adapters. Any company or individual making, manufacturing, importing, using (including to assemble golf clubs in a club-fitting session), demonstrating, selling, distributing, or offering for sale such infringing products (including infringing All-Fit products from Top Golf China) is in violation of Club-Conex’s patent rights.

“We are pleased that justice has been served in this matter, which will allow our Club-Conex subsidiary to continue our focus on producing the best adjustable golf club adapter systems in the world,” said Ryan Richardson, President and COO of True Spec Golf, the parent company of Club-Conex. “We are aware many of our former partners may find themselves using counterfeit options. Our hope and our intention is to continue to work in good faith with all our partners to assure that everyone is in compliance going forward and to welcome club fitters to use the safest, best performing option available while also respecting our patent rights.”
