(June 29, 2023) – Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West, Arizona has been honored by AZCentral’s 2023 Best of the Desert - West Valley community choice awards as the ‘Best Golf Course.’ AZCentral’s annual Best of the Desert Awards celebrate and recognize the best the community has to offer. Nominations were sought in the first quarter of 2023 with only the top businesses in each category making it to the final voting stage. Votes were cast by AZCentral readers in April with results recently posted on AZCentral.com, the digital home of The Arizona Republic, the state’s largest newspaper.

Briarwood Country Club features an 18-hole Greg Nash-designed golf course that opened for play in 1983. In addition to golf, the member-owned club also includes a golf shop, a full-service restaurant and bar, an outdoor heated pool and locker rooms.
