American artist Jennipher Satterly selected to create official commemorative painting for the 78th U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach, California July 3, 2023 – Acclaimed artist Jennipher Satterly has been chosen to craft the official commemorative painting for the upcoming 78th U.S. Women's Open, set to take place for the very first time at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Satterly's painting depicts the Pebble Beach eighteenth hole and lodge, and seeks to encapsulate the breathtaking views and timeless feeling of Pebble Beach Golf Links. As light breaks upon the ripples of Stillwater Cove, comes over the tree line and onto the course, time appears to stand still as onlookers appreciate the grandeur of the game and those who play it. This artwork attempts to champion the spirit of the U.S. Women's Open through a painterly mark-making style and capture the magic of this special event.

The U.S. Women's Open, organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA), is renowned for its rich history and unwavering commitment to promoting women's golf on a global scale. Each year, this championship serves as a platform for top-notch athletes to showcase their skills, dedication, and sportsmanship, inspiring countless individuals along the way.

As a representational painter specializing in golf landscapes, Jennipher Satterly's selection as the artist for the official commemorative painting is a testament to her commitment to painting historical moments on golf’s most celebrated courses.
