He closed with a 2-under 68 at the Renaissance Club for a four-round total of 15-under 265 to claim his first win on European soil since the 2016 Irish Open and $1.6 million in first place prize money.

McIlroy heads into the season’s final major at The Open Championship with his second win of the season while sitting third in the Official World Golf Ranking and first in European Ryder Cup ranking points.
